Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi, has launched a vaccine research and development project targeting the prevention of Zika virus infection and disease. The company which has licensed vaccine against yellow fever, dengue has advantage in understanding the virus family of Zika and it can be leveraged to identify a vaccine candidate.
