About the Company :
VKT Pharma Pvt Ltd was incorporated as Potluri Builders Private Limited (PBPL) in the year 2006 in Andhra Pradesh and has been promoted by Mr. Potluri Ramesh Babu and Mrs Hima Bindu Potluri. Initially, PBPL was incorporated for the purpose of executing infrastructure and real estate projects. However, the company could not achieve commercial operation date in December 2012 due to slow down in infrastructure and real estate sectors.
Later on, the promoters of the company entered in pharmaceutical business and the name of the company changed to present nomenclature on March 14, 2011. VKT has set up a pharmaceutical facility in Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh for the manufacture of oral pharmaceutical dosage forms like tablets and capsules for anti-ulcer, anti-depressant and anti-HIV therapeutic use. The project got completed on September 18, 2014. VKT is associated to SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited which holds 30.04% shares in the company. The manufacturing facility of VKT is proposed to be used as a forward integration for the manufacturing facility of SMS.
