Vardhman Life Sciences Pvt Ltd has been promoted by Vardhman Chemtech Ltd and Mr Sushil Kumar Singla who hold 51% and 49%
stake respectively. VLSPL was originally incorporated as Dewan Buildcon Private Limited (DBPL) in December 2007, by Mr Singla and his
associates. DBPL had been carrying on the business of buying out stressed fixed assets/closed-down plants and then selling them after
dismantling. It changed its
name to the present one in March 2010. The company acquired a closed-down Pen-G facility from JK Pharmachem Limited (under liquidation)
at Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu in November 2009 at a price of Rs.33 crore, through an auction. The plant is spread over a land of 59.15 acres
