The Company was formed as a joint venture between Central Government with 51% equity share holding and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment corporation Ltd (RIICO) with 49% equity share holding. Rajasthan Drugs and Pharmaceuticals ltd.(RDPL) was incorporated on 02.11.1978 with the objective to supply life saving and other essential drugs. It started production from the year 1978.
