Strides Shasun has received USFDA approval for Ranitidine tablets. The drug Ranitidine is used to treat ulcers of the stomach and intestines and to prevent them from making a comeback after healing. This medication is also used to treat certain stomach and throat problems. The drug in tablet form will be manufactured in 150 mg and 300 mg formats and will be the first integrated product approval where the API and formulations will be manufactured at Shasun’s Cuddalore and Puducherry facilities. According to reports, the US market for Ranitidine Tablets USP, 150 mg and 300 mg is approximately $125 million.
