Unichem Laboratories has received USFDA approval to market Chlorthalidone tablets in USA. The prescribed drug is used to treat high blood pressure. It will be produced in strengths of 25 mg and 50 mg.
The approved product is a generic version of Hygroton tablets, 25 mg and 50 mg of Sanofi Aventis US, LLC. Hygroton tablets is indicated in the management of hypertension, either as the sole therapeutic agent or to enhance the effect of other antihypertensive drugs in the more severe forms of hypertension.
