Unichem Laboratories has received USFDA approval for the drug Allopurinol tablets in the strengths of 100 mg and 300 mg. The Allopurinol tablet is a generic version of Zylorprim. The company will be commercialized from its manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. The drug is prescribed for symptoms of primary or secondary gout and those with leukemia, lymphoma and malignancies who are receiving cancer therapy.
