Mehta Antibiotics Pvt Ltd is planning to set up a new pharma unit in Tarapur MIDC in Palghar district of Maharashtra. The project involves setting up of manufacturing facilities with production capacity of 639 tpa and it will set up 2 boilers with a capacity of 0.8 tph each and diesel generating sets of 500 KVA and 400 KVA.
It will produce amoxapine, azithromycin dihydrate, azithromycin, calamine, chloramphenicol, clarithromycin, erythromycin, melatonin etc., The project cost is estimated at ₹ 200 million.
