Strides Shasun has received USFAD approval for Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride tablets, used to relieve such as watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, hives, and itching. The drug will be available in USP, 4mg is a generic version of Periactin tablets of Merck & Co. The product will be manufactured at its oral dosage facility at Bengaluru and will be marketed by Strides Pharma in the US. According to market estimates, Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride 4 mg has market of approximately $20 million.
