Wockhardt has received final USFDA approval for its generic Oxacillin injection used for the treatment of bacterial infections. The drug will be made available in the strengths of 1 gm and 2 gm. The company is expected to launch this product in the United States soon. The product is being manufactured at a contract manufacturing facility, based near Milan, Italy. Oxacillin, an antibiotic, is used to treat many infections caused by penicillin-resistant Staphylococcal and other bacterias, including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract issues, septicemia, wounds and bacterial meningitis.
