Glaxo Smithline Pharma is planning to set up a new drug plant at Vemgal near Bengaluru with an investment of Rs. 10,000 million. The plant will have a installed capacity of 9 billion tablets and capsules and is likely to be operational in 2017. It may be noted, the company has also completed upgradation programme at its Nasik plant in Maharashtra.
